Watch for signs, day use provincial park, fishing piers, max boat speed 12km/h. Travel 7km west of Stony Plain on Highway 16, 7km south, then 5km west and south. Right beside river so bring your river gear. Travel about 14km south of Barrhead on Hwy 33 to junction with Hwy 654. Travel 5km west of Stony Plain on Hwy 16 to beach corner, then 5 km south. Rainbows, Travel 15km west of Stony Plain on Hwy 16,7km South on Hwy 770, then 3km west. Great for taking kids as it has lots of open area to fish from shore. Travel south of Onoway on RR#22 to TWP 544 then east 500M. Travel 10 km north of Stony Plain corner, then 5km west and north. Nice calm lake with lots of places to fish from shore, Rainbows. Travel 6.5km north on 788 from junction with highway 16at Spruce Grove, then about 3km west. Rainbow caught at Muir lake, caught a bigger one the same day.
